INTRODUCTION
============

Thank you for downloading this package of DC-4 flights. The flights were created from the May 01, 1946 Delta Air Lines timetable.

CONTENTS
========

The following files and folders are included with this package:

	-This Readme document.

	-A "Delta_DC-4_1946_Flights_v1" folder containing the flight schedule and a summary sheet in Word and PDF format.

	-A "Documents" folder containing scans of the actual 1946 schedule, the DC-4 Technical manual by John Achor DC3-324 and other miscellaneous goodies.

	-A folder containing the MSFS .pln files for each flight leg identified by the DCA flight number. The full flight number(for example:DAL-601-01) should be used for submitting PIREPS.

	-A folder containing FSNavigator .fsn data files for each leg identified in the same manner.

The flight plans were compiled using a combination of FS9 flight planner, actual Jeppesen low altitude charts and instrument approach procedures. All legs were test flown using the DCA DC-4 as downloaded from the DC-3 Airways website. Weather was set to clear, calm and standard day using a gross weight of 60,000 to 65,000 pounds. As you will see, several of the legs are very short so maximum landing weight would have been the governing flight planning factor. It is unlikely the airplanes were flown at or near maximum weights anyway, except for the ATL-MDW leg in the winter with really lousy weather.

If errors are found in the contents, notify me by email or DC3 Airways forum, as appropriate. DO NOT notify DC-3 Airways.

Note: Due to the differences in the FS versions, scenery upgrades and flight planning tools, differences in bearings, distances and ETEs should be anticipated. The documents contained herein are for general guidance. As in the real world, "PLAN YOUR FLIGHT. FLY YOUR PLAN"!
